Public Health Advocates and Families Who Have Lost Loved Ones to Overdose Urge Action By Full Legislature
Trenton—This Monday, January 14, the Senate Health, Human Services and Senior Citizens Committee voted to release the Opioid Antidote and Overdose Prevention Act (S2082), which expands access to the life-saving medication, naloxone. The bill received bipartisan support and was passed unanimously. The bill now moves to the floor of the full Senate. The Assembly companion bill, A3095, is awaiting a hearing before the Assembly Health and Senior Services Committee.
